BC Steelhead--Thompson River Edition

Or should I say lack of Thompson River steelhead.  One of the world's most fabled steelhead rivers is a shadow of its former self.  Some years it's open, others it's closed.  I still long to fish the huge water of the T as it's called by many and hook up on a big, powerful steelhead.  The combination of fish and river give you a chance to get spooled like few other places.  Wouldn't that be a story to tell.
